FREE! Six weeks of educational summer fun at Camp Nawakwa in Biglerville!

June 24-Aug 2.
Mon-Thurs, 9am-1pm. No camp Fridays or on July 4th.

Bus transportation provided in each school district; pick-up begins at 8 am and drop-off ends at 2 pm.

Open to 4th-8th grade students in these school districts: LASD, CVSD, FASD, BSSD, UASD (also open to the HPMS.)

MONT ALTO STEM CAMP

STEM Camp at Penn State Mont Alto provides incoming 9th and 10th grade students with hands-on practical experience in the fields of engineering, chemistry, DNA profiling, physics, microbiology, and much more.

It is a week of exploration, discovery and fun! The Penn State Extension 4H Robotics Club will host a high-engagement challenge utilizing the latest EV3 Lego Mindstorms. Camp also includes field trips to Penn State Harrisburg’s Central Pennsylvania Research and Teaching Laboratory for Biofuels and Manitowoc in Shady Grove, Pa.

Drop off and pick up at Penn State Mont Alto. Drop off at 9am and pick up at 4pm.

Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 and York Tech are partnering to give students exposure to real-world opportunities in a state-of-the-art facility with industry professionals!

Students explore careers using hands-on activities in labs.

July 22-26, 9am-3pm.
Courses are offered for grades 3-5 and 6-8 (will be adapted to fit particular grade levels)

$250.

Careers explored: Automotive, Commercial Art, Culinary, Engineering, Health Care, Sports Tech, Cosmetology, Manufacturing, Automation, Engines Tech, Video, and STEAM fields.

TAE KWON DO AT THE YWCA GETTYSBURG

In this style of Karate, students learn self-defense while gaining physical fitness, increased awareness, and self-assurance.  Instructor: Pete Golden, 6th Dan.

TAE KWON DO at EAST BERLIN AREA COMMUNITY CENTER

Ages 6-8, 8-12

During this 6 week class, students learn kicks, blocks and strikes of traditional
Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do.  This style of karate is taught primarily as self-defense, but students also gain physical fitness, increased awareness and self-assurance in a non-competitive environment.  Maximum 12 participants.
